What are the school core values?

Harmony Hill is built on the values of respect, wellbeing and integrity, and creativity. We create a community where children feel safe, valued, and heard. Respect for oneself and others guides our daily interactions. We support wellbeing through emotional safety, healthy routines, and holistic care. These values are at the heart of everything we do

Which grade levels are offered at Harmony Hill?

Harmony Hill welcomes children from 4 to 12, covering the full primary education moment. We ensure smooth transitions between levels and provide support for both early learners and pupils preparing to move on to secondary education.

What is the daily schedule?

The day starts with a flexible arrival between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. Mornings focus on core subjects. Afternoons include subjects such as art or music. Reflection time on Fridays supports emotional growth. After-school care and clubs are available, and meals are provided. The daily rhythm supports focus and wellbeing.

Are there extra-school activities?

Yes! Our school offers a wide range of after-school activities. Children can join sports teams, choir, theatre groups, science clubs... These activities take place in our “special” spaces such as the atelier, drama room, or sports hall.

How does Harmony Hill deal with pupils with special needs?

We have a multi-professional support team, including additional needs assistants, wellbeing ambassadors and access to child psychologists. Classrooms are led by two teachers when possible to ensure personalised attention. Staff are trained to support diverse learning profiles and we adapt environments and materials as needed.

FAQ-Child’s needs

How does the school promote emotional well-being and mental health?

At Harmony Hill, we help children to feel good emotionally. Every week, they have classes where they learn to talk about feelings, understand others, and feel confident. We also offer a few activities to help them relax. If needed, children can speak to a school counsellor. Our goal is to make sure every child feels safe and motivated to learn.

How are bullying and peer conflicts handled at school?

If a conflict happens, we act quickly. We help children talk together to understand each other and solve problems. We also teach children how to respect others and manage their emotions. We speak with families if needed. The school wants everyone to be able to talk about their thoughts.

What steps does the school take to create an inclusive and respectful environment for all children?

Our school welcomes children from all backgrounds. We teach children about respect, equality, and diversity in class. We organize group projects to help them learn these values. The teachers make sure all children feel accepted. We also have support for children who need extra help. We consider that every child is important in our school.

Is lunch provided? How are allergies and dietary needs handled?

Yes, free lunch is provided for all the children in the school. We carefully take in consideration allergies and dietary needs. The parents can share this information with us and our kitchen team will prepare tasty and balanced meals for everyone. The children will have the choice among 3 different meals. Vegetarian and allergy-friendly options are available.

Is there before or after school care available?

Yes, we offer both before and after school care. In the morning, children can arrive early for breakfast and a calm start to the day (8 to 9AM). After school, care is available until parents finish work, with support for homework and fun activities like sports, arts or music (2:30 to 5PM). Our team in charge of these sessions is made up of animators and teachers eager to ensure the children's safety and respond to their needs.

FAQ-Parents

What happens if my child is late or absent?

When your child is late, a note will be written in his/her notebook to let you know. However, your child will not be punished, but will be asked to explain why he or she is late. If your child is absent, the school will call you to check your child's safety and inform you of the absence. If the absence is prolonged, the school team can work with you to help manage the missed classes. The main aim is to avoid your child having to take on a too heavy workload when he/she comes back.

How are parents informed about their child’s progress?

Teachers will regularly update you on your child’s progress through written reports and parent-teacher meetings. You will be invited to school (at least) twice a year for detailed progress discussions. If your child needs support or shows exceptional progress, the school will contact you earlier. We believe that parents need to feel well-informed at every step.

How can parents communicate with their child’s teachers?

Parents can communicate with their child’s teachers through the child's school notebook, by email, or scheduled meetings. If something is urgent, you can ask for a private meeting at school. We encourage these moments to make sure every child gets the best support at home and school.

How are parents informed about school events or trips?

Parents are informed about school events or trips through the child notebook, emails, and the school calendar. You will always be notified at least one month in advance to help you prepare and possibly participate. The cost of school trips is covered by the school to ensure fairness.

How can parents get involved in school life or volunteer for activities?

Parents are free to take part in school life by helping with trips organization, creating workshops, joining events or helping with classroom projects. You can also volunteer for extra-school activities management or cultural days. If you're interested, you can send an email to your child's main teacher. We will always be happy if you help us!
