Our Facilities at a Glance
Our school offers a wide range of thoughtfully designed facilities that support learning, creativity, well-being, and community throughout the school day and beyond:
Pastoral Care Program
At our primary school, the well-being of every child is at the heart of everything we do. Our Pastoral Care Program is a whole-school commitment to ensuring all pupils feel safe, happy, valued, and supported throughout their educational journey. We strive to create an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
Weekly Health and Well-being Classes
We deliver dedicated Health and Well-being classes every week to equip pupils with the knowledge and skills needed for lifelong wellbeing. These lessons cover crucial topics such as:
- Mental health awareness and emotional regulation
- The dangers of alcohol, smoking, and drug misuse
- Healthy relationships and respectful communication
- Body image, self-esteem, and staying safe online
These age-appropriate sessions are delivered in a safe, respectful space, empowering pupils to make informed and responsible choices.
Counselling and Emotional Support
We recognise that some pupils may face personal challenges that require extra support. Our school provides on-site counselling sessions, available to any child in need. Referrals can be made by staff, parents, or pupils, and trained professionals conduct all sessions in a confidential and child-friendly setting.
Holistic Development Initiatives
To support the all-round development of our pupils, we also offer:
- Mindfulness and yoga sessions to help children manage stress and build resilience
- Buddy systems that foster peer support and reduce isolation, especially for new or vulnerable pupils
- Creative arts and storytelling workshops that encourage self-expression and emotional literacy
- Outdoor learning and eco-projects that develop teamwork, responsibility, and connection to the world
Summary
Our Pastoral Care Program is a living, evolving framework designed to respond to the needs of our children. By fostering a caring, inclusive, and safe environment, we enable every pupil to grow into confident, compassionate individuals ready to contribute positively to society.
